Salsa / Social Dancing Shines & Partnerwork

Social Dancing Shines & Partnerwork — Weekly Class (All Levels)

This weekly social dancing class is designed for dancers of all levels who want to become more versatile, expressive, and confident on the social dance floor. Whether you're just getting comfortable dancing with a partner or looking to sharpen your freestyle movement, this class gives you the tools to do both.

Each session covers two essential elements of social dancing: shines and partnerwork. Shines are solo footwork combinations that allow you to express your individual style and musicality when dancing apart from your partner. Partnerwork focuses on the connection, communication, and technique needed to dance smoothly and responsively with anyone you share the floor with.

Classes emphasize lead and follow mechanics, body awareness, timing, and adaptability — the real-world skills that separate someone who knows steps from someone who can truly dance socially. You'll practice connecting movement to the music and applying what you learn in a relaxed, partner-rotation environment that mirrors the social dance floor experience.

Because this is a recurring weekly class, students can drop in at any time and build on their skills over multiple sessions. Each class stands on its own while also contributing to your long-term growth as a social dancer. The more you attend, the more natural and fluid your movement becomes — both on your own and with a partner.
